Abstract
The paper deals with an account of endemic and rare plants of Chhattisgarh a newly constituted state of Indian union. Four species viz., Staurogyne perpusilla Henry & Balakr., Maytenus bailadillana (Narayan & Mooney) Raju & Babu, Eriocaulon rajendrababui Ansari & Balakr. and E. raipurense Khanna, Mudgal & Kumar are endemic to the state. Further, 481 taxa are rare in the state. Various conservation measures have been proposed in the paper.
